Internet fraud has risen by 60 percent in the last 5 years, Not to mention the 300,000 recorded bank frauds ,meaning that over the course of 12 months there has been at least half a million

Many people associate identity theft with having your wallet or purse stolen, with a compromised computer the most likely way your identity can be stolen, the reasons so many people are victims to this are down to the many simple causes of fraud, that would include downloading files or software, clicking on pop-ups and visiting dangerous websites. 

Certain Broadband providers now offer specific packages ensuring safety by offering packages to prevent such attacks. 

The cause of this remains Anonymous, as the identities of these hackers and fraudsters remains unknown.  

Most well known for their attack on the PlayStation network which is widely assumed to be a publicity stunt.

Anonymous, the group of hackers who were behind this attack are knowen for sevral other high profile attacks on large publicly owned companys are worrying people into thinking how safe we really are while online.

Due to the rising popularity of internet banking fraud has acted as a catalyst for crime in such sector, springing an attack on a branch of Barclays bank stealing £t.3 million pounds off of a computer system.
